With a commitment to keep in line with the vintage Kenner theme, Yoda comes packaged on a 1980 Empire Strikes Back-inspired blister card featuring original photos and art work, including a resealable plastic outer clam shell to help protect and display this limited edition collectible.
Departing from Hoth and dividing from the remaining Rebels, Luke Skywalker travels to the obscure, swamp-saturated planet Dagobah. Impatient to continue his training, Skywalker initially mistakes Yoda for an innocuous life form, and is surprised when the legendary Jedi Master’s identity is revealed. Initially unimpressed by the clumsy, blustering Skywalker, Yoda expresses stubborn doubts in regards to Luke’s compatibility, and is disconcerted by Skywalker’s inability to relinquish his pessimistic worry over the fate of his friends. When Luke begins to express doubt in the power of the Force, Yoda demonstrates his power by dredging Skywalker’s sunken X-Wing out of the swamp water and transporting the vehicle to solid ground, however Yoda ultimately fails to dissuade Luke from journeying, unprepared, to the Cloud City.
