An Ithorian life form, Momaw Nadon divulges the specifics of Ithorian agricultural technology to the Empire as a means of preserving his homeworld against the Empire’s widening encroachment, however he is subsequently exiled from Ithor. He eventually relocates to Tatooine, where he transplants Ithorian plant life to an otherwise inhospitable setting. Nadon tends to his grove among the mountains south of Mos Eisley, which provides a shelter for Rebel sympathizers. Nadon later encounters a demoted Imperial officer who threatens to expose the Rebel shelter and destroy Nadon’s beloved grove unless Nadon assists the Empire in locating two fugitive droids. A patron of Chalmun’s Cantina---present during Luke Skywalker and Obi-Wan’s negation with Han Solo---Nadon later understands the significance of the two droids, R2-D2 and C-3PO.
