The 1/6 Scale R2-D2 Statue is a limited edition, hand-painted and numbered polystone sculpture, accompanied by a certificate of authenticity. The R2 Statue features a total of eight tools and appendages, including periscope scanner, mechanical gripper, utility saw, and others, which can be applied to the statue’s chest and/or dome panels. Supported by three stocky treads, R2-D2 is colored in white, blue and silver. R2 does substantial justice to his particular model, given the fact that he’s been a constant throughout the entirety of the Stars Wars movie franchise. Whereas the perpetually-frazzled C-3P0 often serves the primary function of comic relief, the plucky R2 demonstrates his resourcefulness several times over. R2’s various retractable appendages and instruments enable him to serve the functions of starship mechanic and computer interface specialist.
