The Darth Vader - Empire Strikes Back Statue stands 11 ½” tall and features a display base with light-up function. The scene from the Empire Strikes Back depicts Darth Vader as he genuflects before a hologram image of the Emperor’s vile countenance. Vader’s black cape is draped across his broad back and pooled around him. His helmeted head is inclined reverently. The scene does nothing to invalidate Vader’s powerful imagery but instead illustrates his monstrous discipline and long-standing devotion to his dark master.
The Emperor sends his transmission in the course of Vader’s attempt to locate the Millenium Falcon within the asteroid field. Once Vader is informed that the Emperor is on the horn, he disengages immediately and rushes to confer with his master. The two of them discuss the matter of Luke Skywalker, citing the latter’s burgeoning power and potentiality; plans are made to acquire young Skywalker and bring him before the Emperor to receive a new type of training.
