The Clash of the Titans Bubo Statue stands 7” tall, features a circular wooden base, and is limited to 500 pieces. A mechanized owl sheathed in intricate metal feathers, Bubo is perched piquantly along a jagged tree branch. The flight-capable Bubo is a benign companion designed to accompany Perseus over the course of the latter’s dangerous and wide-roving quests.
In order to support Perseus’ mission to rescue Andromeda and topple the mighty Kraken, the son of Zeus is bestowed a number of divine gifts. In one instance, Zeus commands Athena to give her beloved owl, Bubo, to Perseus. However, refusing to part with her owl, Athena employs Hephaestus in the creation of a mechanical owl of brass and iron. Bubo arrives in time to guide Perseus and his companions to the Stygian witches and ultimately, during the showdown with the Kraken, retrieves Medusa’s severed head to allow Perseus to complete his mission.
