The Balrog Bust, measuring 8” tall and 9” wide, is accentuated by a light-up feature. The monstrous Devil of the gloomy Moria pantheon is hideous and flame-wreathed, his powerful frame creased with thick scales, pebbled by scar and gristle. His twisted form is outlined by flightless wings---knobby structures of heavy bone and cartilage webbed by leathery veils of thick membrane. The massive maw is agape, hooked teeth silhouetted against an inflamed red glow. The Balrog’s small incandescent eyes are overshadowed by blunt ridges of bone and the crusted furrows of his inverted horns.
The Balrog, scaring even the creepy wall-crawling orcs away, plagued Gandalf and the gang as they struggled through moldering archways and tentatively crossed the crumbling bridge. It became evident that the monster might outpace them, or at the very least bring the bridge down before everyone could clear the other side. Gandalf made a thunderous stand against the Balrog. As the bridge finally buckled under the supernatural stress and began tumbling into the pitch-black void, even the mighty Balrog was forced to succumb to the force of gravity. But as the monster descended, he managed vengefully to snare Gandalf with his flame whip, taking the wizard with him.
