The Animated Stormtrooper Maquette stands 8” tall. This version is done in the Animated ‘Clone Wars’ style, sleeker, a slightly caricature look with more of an outslung jaw to the face of the mask. The Stormtrooper is depicted running in place, armed with his blaster, beneath him a darkly mechanized excerpt of the Death Star floor. This depiction could indicate that (A) the Stormtrooper is on his way to stop Skywalker and Solo from liberating the captive Princess Leia, or (B) the Stormtrooper is running towards the nearest vessel to escape before Death Star 2 explodes.
Presumably the Stormtroopers would all stem from the Clone Troopers---the latter generated a decade earlier from the harvested genetic materials of bounty hunter Jango Fett. Additionally, the armor of the Clone Troopers was somewhat based upon Fett’s Mandalorian armor. Most Stormtroopers are outfitted with the E-11 blaster rifle, as well as armor with built-in comlinks and varying protection against toxins and hostile environments. Other than that, the armor didn’t seem to do much against laser blasts, lightsaber blades or even a thrown punch.
