The Mos Eisley Cantina Bookend Set measures 6” tall, 10” wide when flush-displayed. The bookends are perfect for books of all descriptions---romance novels, poetry books, self-help guides, TIE Fighter owner’s manuals, revisionist histories, Imperial Manifestos. This is probably the most poignant monument ever created in poor Greedo’s honor. On one side you’ve got Solo, slouching confidently, surreptitiously going for his blaster while he gives Greedo the song and dance. Greedo, business-minded, keeps his gun on his prey thinking that maybe, finally, Greedo is about to become a household name. He hopes, in vain unfortunately, that his name will become synonymous with success and even euphemistic for skill and ingenuity.
This lavishly wrought bookend set depicts the big Mos Eisley Cantina Showdown, the stuff that was going on elsewhere while Obi-Wan was busy turning Pondo Baba and the girlishly handsome Doctor Evazan into Vienna sausages. Unfortunately, Greedo’s name was destined to become synonymous with getting ambushed, cheated or drygulched. Only after Greedo thought that he’d secured both his prisoner and the money owed to Jabba, Solo blasts him from a concealed position, spattering the booth and the wall behind it with Greed-o-roni and Cheese. So raise a glass and remember poor Greedo, but know that he’s up there somewhere, finally running his own show.
