Armed with his half-eaten Halloween lollipop, Trick’r Treat Sam is dressed in a work-adorned, garish orange jumpsuit; Jack’s head is a ragged burlap sphere bearing black button eyes and a vacuous stitch work smile. Sam is charged with the tasks of preserving the ancient Halloween traditions and enforcing the appropriate Halloween spirit wherever he finds it to be lacking. Sam oversees aspects of the movie’s anthology, giving Rhonda an appreciate nod when she abandons her tormentors to the busload of grammar school zombies, provides an enthusiastic audience for the blood orgy of Little Red Riding Hood and the she-werewolves, and becomes an active participant when wheezing sourpuss Mr. Kreeg refuses to hand out candy to trick-or-treaters.
