Like his teammates, Aphrodai A and Boss Borot, Mazinger Z is intended to be a last defense against conquest-hungry tyrants including the likes of Dr. Hell and the infinitely horrifying Baron Ashura. Generally, Dr. Hell acts through robotic monsters proportionate to Mazinger Z. To assist him against his gigantic adversaries, Mazinger Z is outfitted with a full array of special weapons/attacks including the Koushiryoku Beam, the Missile Punch, the Rocket Punch, the Rust Hurricane, the Breast Fire, the Kyoukagata Rocket Punch, the Iron Cutter, the Drill Missile, the Daisharin Rocket Punch, the Reitou Beam, and Finger Missiles.
