This magnificent scene features individually sculpted brooms and captures all the enchantment of The Sorcerers Apprentice from Walt Disneys Fantasia.

Animation artist and Walt Disney Classics Collection sculptor Ruben Procopio follows a grand tradition of artistic talent. His father, Adolfo, is a master sculptor and 35-year veteran of Walt Disney Imagineering. Adolfo's sculptures can be seen throughout Disneyland(R) park and Walt Disney World(R) Resort's Magic Kingdom. Working in the same Disney tradition, Ruben has been a part of the Walt Disney Classics Collection team since its inception--first serving as a consultant in the early days overseeing the accuracy of the sculptures as the "expert" in Feature Animation, and now as a sculptor of such recent pieces as Elastigirl and Edna from The Incredibles as well as the spectacular sculpture scene Sorcerer Mickey and Yen Sid: Magic Malestrom.
'The Sorcerer's Apprentice' scene from the classic Disney feature Fantasia was the genesis of the animated musical film. When the long-awaited continuation of the film, Fantasia/2000, was produced, this magical scene was the only segment from the original to be included. "It's an icon of Fantasia in general," says Roy E. Disney, the nephew of the legendary Walt Disney. "'The Sorcerer's Apprentice' [has] inherent drama and motion," and these powerful qualities are vividly captured by Ruben Procopio in the Signature Series sculpture.
