Disney Feature Animation veteran animator and sculptor Rubén Procopio referenced original Disney animation in sculpting this Walt Disney Classics Collection numbered limited edition release. Credited with bringing back the practice of creating three-dimensional models for animators to reference while rendering a film (known as "maquettes"), Rubén drew upon his animation and sculpting skills in capturing the essence of the character and emotion of the film moment.

The Chernabog: Symphony of Evil statue stands approximately 10.5 inches high, cast in quality porcelain, hand-painted and fired at extreme temperatures to achieve a striking finish that only porcelain can provide. Each piece is fired with an individual edition numbered and includes a Disney Certificate of Authenticity, imprinted with the signatures of Disney Creative Director and Master Artist David Pacheco and Disney Archives Director David Smith.
Emerging from the summit of Bald Mountain, the malevolent demon unfolds his majestic wings and begins his celebration of darkness. Summoning the forces of evil with mighty, conductor-like gestures, the dark god known as Chernabog is one of the most unusual and striking characters ever brought to life through the art of animation.
Walt Disney set the segments of his groundbreaking animated masterpiece Fantasia (1940) to symphonic scores. For the musical segment "Night on Bald Mountain" by the great Russian composer Moussorgsky, Disney assigned the task of animating the powerfully evil "god of death" known as Chernabog to legendary master animator Vladimir "Bill" Tytla. Tytla truly brought the terror of the demonic character to life on screen.
