Thunderbird is dressed in his distinctive tassel-fringed red and blue costume. Thunderbird’s mutant powers provide him with augmented senses, reflexes, speed, dexterity and endurance, and vastly heightened strength. Thunderbird is included in the new roster of X-Men assembled by Professor X to rescue the original X-Men from Krakoa, the Island That Walks Like A Man. Shortly thereafter, Thunderbird is killed during a battle against Count Nefaria, causing his brother, Warpath, to initially blame the X-Men for Thunderbird’s death.
