These fully-authorized, hand-painted lead figurines are sculpted by master craftsmen and based on original pieces of Marvel artwork. Each 3 1/2" figurine is individually numbered, comes stamped with the Marvel official logo, and comes packaged in its own box. The accompanying 16-page magazine provides a detailed history and background on the featured character, including exclusive images and interviews. The fabulous characters featured this month are Blackheart (#160) and The Puppet Master (#161).
Vaguely reptilian in appearance, Blackheart is an obsidian-hued monstrosity with glowing red eyes and a mass of squirming locks. Blackheart is the accumulative evil of a town Christ’s Crown, given substance by Mephisto and shaped into his (Mephisto’s) demon son. Benefited by vast strength and intelligence, Blackheart possesses immense reality-warping powers, and yet he is initially a protégée, subject to the whims of Mephisto. Blackheart strives to corrupt a handful of heroes including Daredevil and Spider-Man. An attempt to establish his dominancy results in failure, and a weakened Blackheart returns to Christ’s Crown, where he ensorcells the town populace as part of a campaign to corrupt Wolverine, the Punisher, and Ghost Rider.
