Apollo 7 was the first Project Apollo mission, and it was also the first manned test of the redesigned Block II Apollo Spacecraft Command Service Module (CSM). It was a C-type mission - an 11-day orbit around the Earth - to check life support, propulsion, and control systems. The mission was hailed a success and it gave NASA the confidence to send Apollo 8 around the moon just two months later. This 1/72-scale diecast model recreates this historic spacecraft.
