Having ambushed and captured Han Solo, Darth Vader chooses to test the carbonite freezing process, intended for Luke Skywalker, on Han Solo. Surviving the procedure, Solo is then turned over to Boba Fett. Later, Luke, Leia, Chewbacca and Lando, joined by R2-D2 and C-3PO, stage a mission to retrieve the carbonite block from the custody of Jabba the Hutt. Leia successfully infiltrates Jabba’s palace in the guise of the diminutive Ubese bounty hunter, Boushh, although she is captured during her subsequent attempt to liberate Solo from his carbonite prison, which has become Jabba’s prized possession.
