Snowbird: The offspring of the Inuit deity Nelvanna, imprisoned in another dimension by the monstrous Tundra, Snowbird forfeits her godlike powers to bypass Tundra’s barrier and enter the Earthly realm. She “Snowbird” retains some mystical abilities, such her flight capability and her ability to turn into any Canadian-indigenous white-furred animal. Given her otherworldly origin and mystic capabilities she is recruited by Shaman and Guardian as a member of Alpha Flight.
Shaman: Initially eschewing the mysticism of his tribal culture, Michael Twoyoungmen
fails to save his terminally ill wife by conventional means, despite a promise made to his daughter, Elizabeth, Twoyoungmen ultimately embraces magic and assists in the birth of Snowbird. He is recruited as a member of Alpha Flight, becoming the Shaman. A skilled practitioner of magic, Shaman is equipped with a medicine bag which is in fact a portal to a pocket dimension called the Void, granting Shaman access to myriad artifacts and magical implements, however a single glimpse into the bag by an untrained eye generates debilitating insanity.
Sasquatch: Attempting to transform himself into a Hulk-like creature by exposing himself to gamma radiation, Dr. Walter Langkowski in fact creates a dimensional gateway to the Realm of Great Beasts, and is bonded with the beast Tanaraq. Langkowski gains the ability to transform into the Sasquatch at will, which provides him with powerful teeth and claws, sufficient strength to battle against the Hulk, and a regenerative ability.
Aurora (Aurora includes a set of "locked hands" to pose her and her brother Northstar): Twin sister of Northstar, Aurora is a mutant with the ability to fly at superhuman speeds and generate light manipulation effects. She initially participates in Alpha Flight’s mission to apprehend Wolverine. Upon learning of the planned dissolution of Alpha Flight, Aurora is reunited with Northstar, however the latter is taken aback by the split personality disorder. The twins fall into discord, heightening Aurora’s attachment to teammate Sasquatch.
