Canada's answer to the Avengers, Alpha Flight is a team of super-powered individuals united by Canada 's Department H to deal with threats to their homeland. Led by the battlesuit-clad Guardian, the team also included the aquatic Marrina, the diminutive acrobat Puck and the flying, light-generating mutant Northstar. Includes bonus heads and hairpiece for Guardian (one to display as James MacDonald Hudson and the other to display as the impostor Delphine Courtney), extra white hairpiece for Northstar, and extra hand to display Puck doing a hand stand!
Marrina: A member of the alien species called Plodex, adapted to an aquatic setting and provided with a feminine humanoid appearance from her subsequent exposure to human DNA. She is an amphibian, capable of remaining on land or underwater indefinitely. Marrina initially joins Beta Flight and later becomes a member of Alpha Flight. Captured by the Master, she is made aware of her extraterrestrial origin.
Puck: An adventurer who inadvertently releases Black Raazer from the Black Blade of Baghdad, Puck forfeits his full-sized stature to reimprison the evil sorcerer. Puck’s diminutive stature is complimented by his acrobatic and gymnastic abilities; a skilled hand-to-hand combatant and martial artist, Puck delivers his most effective attack in the form of his trademark cartwheel, a projectile maneuver which enables him to topple larger adversaries.
Northstar: Twin brother of Aurora, Northstar is a mutant with the ability to fly at superhuman speeds and generate light manipulation effects. Northstar initially participates in Alpha Flight’s mission to apprehend Wolverine. Upon learning of the planned dissolution of Alpha Flight, Northstar reunites with Aurora and is taken aback by the latter split personality disorder. The twins fall into discord, heightening Aurora’s attachment to teammate Sasquatch, and ultimately prompting Northstar to quit the team.
Guardian: The Guardian costume is the housing for a form-fitting strength-enhancing exoskeleton which creates a force field for its wearer and provides numerous other items such as flight and levitation capabilities. The creation of the battle suit is a Canadian venture, however once it becomes apparent to the suit is due to be transferred to the US military, James “Mac” MacDonald Hudson, the suit’s creator, absconds with the prototype.
