The Ironhide 6” Bust is mounted atop a mechanically-styled base, and is equipped with his Static Laser Gun and massive shoulder-mounted cannon. A security operative serving as Optimus Prime’s bodyguard, Ironhide is among the oldest and most durable of the Autobots. Reinforced by Trithyllium-steel skin, Ironhide is capable of firing a number of liquids such as super-cooled nitrogen from his fingertips. In Transformers: The Movie, Ironhide was aboard the Earth-bound Autobot shuttle when it was boarded by Megatron and the Decepticons. Ironhide, Ratchet, Prowl and Brawl were lamentably outgunned by the Decepticons, although Ironhide survived long enough to launch a last ditch defiant effort against Megatron; unimpressed by the ebbing Ironhide’s intractable will, a sneering Megatron contemptuously shot Ironhide at nearly point blank range.
