Captain Terrell features a typically nonplussed, mildly bewildered expression; this is the expression of a captain destined to find himself caught in the middle of the catastrophic grudge match between Admiral Kirk and Khan. Captain of the Reliant and attached as a military appendix to Project Genesis, Terrell and Chekov landed on the sand-blown wasteland of Ceti Alpha V, mistaking the latter for Ceti Alpha VI. Unexpectedly confronted by Kirk’s old adversary, Khan, Terrell was brainwashed by means of a nasty brain-slug and forced to help Khan lure the Enterprise intro ambush. However, when the moment finally came, Khan ordering Terrell to kill Kirk, Terrell managed to override the brain-slug’s influence long enough to turn his phaser on himself.
