A supremely impressive contribution to the Hulk action figure community, Zombie Hulk appears to be well-articulated, and includes a portion of the Silver Surfer’s devoured corpse. Zombie Hulk’s roughhewn green-brown skin tone is closer to that of Maestro. Zombie Hulk is scabrous and heavily decayed, his eyes reduced to blank milky orbs and his mouth transformed into a permanent rictus grin.
The Marvel Zombies storyline involves an alternate reality in which an undead infection is passed among the superhero ranks. A number of superheroes, such as Spider-Man, Colonial America and the Hulk, are transformed into ravening zombies. During this time the Silver Surfer descends, intending to warn the Earth of the coming of Galactus; the Surfer is subsequently attacked and devoured and a portion of his cosmic power is divided among the zombie superheroes. Ultimately the heroes devise a means to diminish Galactus’ power, leaving the latter vulnerable to cannibalization.
