Zombie Spider-Man stands 6” tall, and should, along with the other figures in the line, include a piece of the Silver Surfer. Spider-Man’s ashy-hued decay bristles through the gaping tatters in his ravaged costume. Parts of his body have dwindled to gangling skeletal dimensions. A portion of Spider-Man’s vapidly grinning skull face is revealed beneath his rotting mask.
The Marvel Zombies miniseries depicts an alternate world in which an unnamed zombie-inflicted superhero had previously invaded and passed the contagion along to established Marvel characters. The Silver Surfer arrives to bring warning of the coming of Galactus and is promptly set upon and eventually cannibalized by the zombie heroes. In assimilating the Surfer’s cosmic power, the zombie heroes inherit new superhuman abilities. Shortly thereafter, Galactus arrives, and once the zombie heroes perfect a devise designed to heighten their inherited cosmic power, they ultimately manage to overwhelm Galactus as well. Spider-Man is among the handful of zombie heroes to cannibalize the fallen Galactus.
