These sets each include an individually boxed 4” figure along with a 20 page magazine with an illustrated history of the respective character. The Human Torch is depicted in his fiery mode---a solid red outline limned with rippling tongues of yellow flame. Poised as if to perform Rodney Dangerfield’s ‘Triple Lindy’, the Torch is positioned atop a base stamped with the Marvel insignia.
The result of cosmic ray bombardment, the Human Torch is imbued with the ability to personify and control fire. He’s equipped with flight capability, the ability to vaporize objects of varying description, and the ability to generate nova intensity. Earlier on, the Human Torch was the melodramatic teenage jerkweed of the Fantastic Four, although eventually he leveled out to become a slightly more earnest character.
