These sets each include an individually boxed 4” figure along with a 20 page magazine with an illustrated history of the respective character. The Phoenix is clad in her emerald-green costume complete with waist sash, gloves and boots. Depicted a little in the image of a performing magician, the Phoenix is positioned atop a base stamped with the Marvel insignia.
Prior to becoming the Phoenix, Jean Grey used her telekinetic powers to guide the wrecked X-Men shuttle from the destroyed space station to the Earth; in the process her physical body was destroyed by radiation. However, luckily for her, most any comic book character worth his or her salt is imbued with the ability to die arbitrarily and repeatedly. Jean Grey was able to reconstitute her form, during which she merged with the cosmic entity, the Phoenix.
