The 6” Grimlock Bust is limited to 1000 pieces. The bust features a mechanized cylindrical base with an Autobot insignia standing in relief. The detail is impressive. Armed with his red-hazed Energo Sword, Grimlock is depicted at the arc of a pulverizing strike. His blocky shoulder plates overlap monstrous hydraulics. The carryover foot talons of his tyrannosaurus mode are apparent just above his wrist joints. Grimlock’s countenance is a blunted faceplate inlaid with a murky blood-red visor. Cool.
In the Dreamwave continuity, Grimlock was originally recruited from among the gladiator pits by Megatron. A consummate warrior and strategist, he was much more intelligent than his cartoon counterpart, though this generally wasn’t reflected in his simplistic speech pattern. Initially Grimlock held a certain level of contempt for the newly commissioned Optimus Prime, but he adjusted his opinion as time went along. During The Dark Ages, The Fallen escaped imprisonment and returned to Cybertron and selected Grimlock as one of several Transformer components needed to perform some bizarre incantation. During this time, Grimlock was grudgingly forced to ally with Jetfire, another former Decepticon whom he did not trust.
