In anticipation of the upcoming movie Hellboy II: The Golden Army, the Hellboy Comic PVC Set comprises figures based upon Mike Mignola's original Hellboy comic artwork. The Hellboy Comic PVC Set includes the following:
1x Abe Sapien: Clad in black shorts and a brown utility belt, Abe is a green-skinned amphibian life form. He was originally discovered inside a water tube in a Washington hospital. His name was derived from the label on the tube, which read “icthyo sapien” and was dated to correspond with the assassination of Abe Lincoln. For obvious reasons, Abe was recruited by the Bureau for Paranormal Research and Defense. Abe breathes underwater and is capable of resisting depth-pressure. His land-based abilities include his marksmanship and physical combat prowess.
1x Hellboy: Clad in a brown coat, Hellboy is a towering red-skinned demon equipped with blunted horns, and sturdy tail, and the disproportionately large Right Hand of Doom. Subsequent to conjuration by Nazi occultists, the infant Hellboy was discovered by Allied forces and was formally recruited by the Bureau for Paranormal Research and Defense. Hellboy acts as a paranormal investigator, calling upon his demonically enhanced abilities to battle garden variety monsters and otherworldly horrors.
1x Lobster Johnson: Armed with a pistol, pulp hero Lobster Johnson is clad in a black uniform, utility belt and red goggles. A legendary crime fighter, Lobster Johnson is identified by the clawed-shaped insignia he sometimes sears into the foreheads of his prey. Though highly skilled in the brutal subversion of organized crime, Lobster also investigated cases with bizarre paranormal overtones. By the late 30’s Lobster had become an aggressive adversary of the Nazis, and was subsequently killed in 1939. Lobster later returned as a ghost, revealing himself to Roger the Homunculus.
