Serenity fans rejoice! The master sculptors at Gentle Giant Studios have taken full-size 3-D digital scans of the main actors from Joss Wheden's blockbuster film Serenity and created a fabulous, realistically detailed PVC set of the favorite three crew members. This process has allowed them to achieve very accurate detail, both in terms of the distinctive likenesses and the accessories and costumes.
Formerly attached to the 57th Overlanders Brigade, Mal eventually took command of a 03-K64 Firefly-class transport---a vessel that Mal named Serenity after the catastrophic Battle of Serenity Valley. Sporting his keepsake brown coat, Mal brandishes a heavily modified officer’s pistol.
At age 14 River Tam was recruited by The Academy under false pretences and subjected to varyingly horrifying procedures designed to hone her into a super-assassin. Alienated from her parents and her brother, she was driven to extremes of insanity, developing embryonic telepathic and clairvoyant abilities.
Typically armed to the teeth, Jayne is mercenary interest having only signed on with Mal after having attempted to ambush him first. He keeps a massive arsenal on hand and seems to be best-suited to heavy firefights and concussive explosions.
