Sculpted by Jack Mathews, the New 52: DC Comics Super Heroes Starfire Bust is a hand-painted, cold-cast porcelain sculpture measuring approximately 6.6” high x 5.7” wide x 3.75” deep, packaged in a 4-color box.
A warrior princess native to the planet of Tamaran, Koriand’r is enslaved after she and her entire race are betrayed by Koriand’r’s older sister, Komand’r, to The Citadel. Koriand’r is forced to serve as handmaiden to the resentful and jealous Komand’r. Later, both sisters are captured and subjected to cruel experimentations by the Psions. Koriand’r inadvertently gains the ability to channel ultraviolet radiation into projectile blasts, enabling her to escape. She steals a spaceship and travels to Earth, where she encounters Robin and the Teen Titans. She joins the team, becoming Starfire. Starfire is a skilled hand-to-hand combatant, and her Tamaranean physiology provides her with flight capability and heightened strength.
