This version of Superman is clad in his personalized version of the Black Lantern Corps costume, complete with “S” emblem and cape. Connor Kent is working to establish himself as an ordinary resident of Smallville when the otherwise quiet town is attacked by the Earth 2 Superman, the ghastly skull-faced Black Lantern Kal-L. Fortuitously, Connor is partnered with the mainstream Superman, the latter having temporary left New Krypton to visit the Kent family. The taunting Kal-L is eager to return both Superboy and Superman to their former deceased status.
