The Watchmen Movie Dr. Manhattan 1/6 Scale Figure measures approximately 13” tall. The figure features a removable fabric black suit, and is presented in 4-color window box packaging and includes a 4-color Certificate of Authenticity. Doctor Manhattan’s forehead is marked by the symbol of the hydrogen atom that Manhattan adopted in lieu of an awkward helmet with an insignia-style symbol. Originally Manhattan was a scientist named Jon Osterman; he was involved in a series of experiments designed to remove the intrinsic fields of physical objects. Osterman was inadvertently trapped inside an intrinsic field test chamber and was, to the horror of his colleagues, totally vaporized. Later, in gradual systemic phases, Osterman’s physical form was reconstituted and imbued with godlike powers. Doctor Manhattan was the only super-powered character in the Watchmen continuity. His existence provided for a handful of technological advancements, and enabled the American forces to win the Vietnam War. Following the murder of the Comedian, and seemingly in support of Rorschach’s theory of a conspiracy against costumed adventurers, Manhattan was ambushed and driven into self-exile.
