As usually seems to be the case with these Mini-Mate-style figures, they seem a little more intricate and inspired than a lot of the larger 3-dimensional figures floating around out there. It’s crazy but it’s true.
Pair #1: Batgirl and Bane. This is the Barbara Gordon version of Batgirl, apparently a depiction of the good old days prior to Barbara’s unfortunate run-in with the Joker. Bane is a Venom-pumped monstrosity, clad in his wrestler costume and equipped with his Venom-dispensing cranial hose.
Pair #2: Deadman and Spectre: Deadman seems pretty classic in appearance, a cadaverous red-clad spirit jumping from one host to the next in the hopes of solving his own murder and righting all other wrongs in the process. Clad in his green hood and cloak, the Spectre is similar to Deadman in terms of avenging his own murder, though the Spectre has more of a taste for ghastly fatalities.
Pair #3: Steel and Cyborg Superman: Emerging from a convoluted Superman continuity, Steel is clad in his super-powered armor and armed with his hammer. Cyborg Superman is depicted with the costume fractionalized to show the metallic faux-Superman beneath the disguise.
Pair #4: Wildcat and The Flash: These two guys are looking for the big JSA reunion---cupcakes, punch, and live music provided by Peter Frampton. Wildcat is clad in his feline uniform and primed for a boxing match. The Flash is clad in his familiar Mercury-style costume, racing to make the reunion before the last of the Jell-O mold is gone.
