The TIE Defender is a high-performance vessel developed by Siener Fleet Systems on behalf of the Imperial Navy just prior to the Battle of Endor. The TIE Defender’s characteristic “eyeball” cockpit design is encircled by an array of concave wing panels. The TIE Defender possesses a hyper-drive and deflector shields, although the vessel is cost prohibitive and reserved for rare engagements and specialized campaigns.
