Among the first of the combiners, Devastator is benefited by monstrous strength while being simultaneously hobbled by the chaotic intermeshing of the six minds comprising the individual Constructicons. In the original cartoon, the Constructicons were imbued with their ability to form Devastator subsequent to their irreversible reconditioning via the Robo-Smasher; betraying their longtime friend, Omega Supreme, the Constructicons destroyed Supreme’s beloved Crystal City, and later merged into Devastator in an attempt to subdue Omega for the implementation of the Robo-Smasher. Devastator provided the Decepticons with a valuable strategic edge, formidable enough to even countermine the overwhelming might of the Dinobots. Though Devastator is slow and awkward, his massive size and corresponding strength enable him to annihilate an entire bridge with a single punch. Devastator is equipped with a 10,000 degree Celsius solar energy beam rifle.
The current CDMW-01, CDMW-01*, CDMW-02, CDMW-02* & CDMW-09 are ONLY compatible with vintage Devastator, NOT the encore edition.
