Rattrap sometimes was the malcontent of the show. He had a knack for irritating his teammates, particularly Dinobot and Blackarachnia. But on the other hand, he had a venerable stage presence and a tremendous collection of Waspinator parts. He was also one of those christened by Transmetal technology, which is the version you get here with this reissue as opposed to Rattrap’s initial standard form. In both incarnations, his head pretty much looked the same.
He gained a wheel-based speed advantage with his Transmetal body, and a detachable chain-segmented tails that could be used as a sword or a flail, but seemingly there was no real way to Transmetalize Rattrap’s general character defects. Noble Rattrap retained his flawed and beautiful personality all through the Beast Wars and even well into the bizarre depths of Beast Machines. He comes complete with his favorite and personally-endorsed DVD episode, “A Better Mousetrap” and also comes with another appendage to build Transmutate.
