Nemesis Breaker is a malignant clone of Leobreaker. Megatron fashioned Nemesis Breaker from Leobreaker’s recurring self-doubts. The clone was powered by Megatron’s spark. Accordingly, Nemesis Breaker can combine with Megatron, the same way Leobreaker combines with Prime, to form the Dark Claw Mode. Informally, this adds another powerful Decepticon tier to the Jungle Planet hierarchy, although Nemesis Breaker remained pretty much loyal to Megatron.
The fight with Metroplex might have done in Nemesis Breaker for good, but, Nemesis was fueled by Megatron’s spark and since Megatron always seems to find a way to come back, maybe Nemesis is just biding his time and awaiting his return. Maybe he’s sitting in the shadows, watching reruns of Dark Shadows and T.J. Hooker, hitting the dumbbells and scheming a way to finally retire Metroplex from his post. Maybe a team up with Dark Scorponok and Dark Crumplezone. Luckily, peripheral characters like Nemesis Breaker are some of the cooler characters, and even if they vanish from the cartoon scene they tend to show up heavily in other mediums like comic book storylines.
Nemesis Breaker is done in black, silver, white, grey and teal, similar (with the exception of a couple added colors) to the Black Convoy/Scourge color scheme. In lion mode he’s large and powerful, with a Cyber Key function that enables his long gauntlet claws. A spot on his forehead depresses to activate his hinged jaw. He’s extremely well articulated in both beast and robot modes. In robot mode, he’s got superior height and reach. His tail can be removed and used as a barbed flail. When he combines with Megatron for Dark Claw Mode, Nemesis transforms into a single massive appendage which replaces Megatron’s arm. The Cyber Key function enables a special attack while in this mode. Off-camera, Megatron refers to this mode as the Dark Death Back Scratcher.
