Initially mistaken for a Predator, Noland, an army man who has survived a handful of hunting seasons by hiding and scavenging Predator equipment, leads Royce and the others to the immobile ship utilized as Noland’s lair. Driven to madness, the only partially intelligible Noland describes the Predator hierarchy on the game preserve planet, He fails in his attempt to kill Royce’s group and scavenge the team’s weapons; in the course of the botched attempt, Royce creates an explosion which alerts the Predators to the presence of Noland’s lair. Noland himself receives his long-overdue destruction at the hands of the menacing Tracker Predator.
