It’s refreshing to see another Alternators Decepticon---and a very pleasant surprise to see a new Ravage with a quadrupedal mode. Steering away from the anthropoid feline look, this version of Ravage transforms from a sleek Jaguar XK into a sleek sinister jaguar. The outer planes of the car reconfigure into a complicated series of armor plates. This marks a modified transformation process in the Alternators line. Ravage features a more detailed head, articulated limbs and tail, and hip-mounted rockets.
Apart from being one of Soundwave’s more sinister cassette warrior, his origins are more or less cloaked in mystery. He was one of the first Transformers to demonstrate a beast mode. Silently, efficiently, he ran stealth and sabotage missions on behalf of Megatron. After the Great War, Ravage was one of the Decepticons who received amnesty. He was later reformatted into a Predacon, and began to work secretly for the Tripredacus Council, though still, as seen in the Beast Wars, he never relinquished his Decepticon lineage. Though destroyed in the Beast Wars continuity, he was resurrected and ultimately reestablished in the Alternators continuity.
