There have been almost as many versions of Supergirl as there have been new cadets in the Police Academy movies. Different versions, some alien, some Earth-based. Her origins, storylines, backgrounds and alter-egos have zigged and zagged many times. She did manage to get her own movie at one point. And there was of course the notable tragic version who died during the Crisis, saving the universe in the process, but who also became a kind of stitch in time thus causing the memory of her sacrifice to cease to exist. More recently, Supergirl was reborn according to some aspects of former incarnations. A teenager originally dispatched to serve as a guardian over the infant Superman, she was kept from her goal, a period in which she remained the same age, and when she finally made it took, Superman was no longer an infant.
Anyway, here we have an ostensibly more modern version in the DC Superheroes line, blonde and pretty, well-sculpted and well-articulated, sporting the same T-shirt/short blue skirt Gen X look she had similar to the Supergirl from the Superman animated series and episodes of Justice League Unlimited. Already burdened by hormones and other teenage problems, hopefully she has no memory of her seventy-three other incarnations. That could get a bit confusing for the poor kid.
