Behold the new superior version of the Masterpiece Trailer, only recently recovered from a recalcitrant Galvatron after his ill-fated attempt to utilize the Matrix of Mediocrity and transform himself into Galavaprime Prime.
No cardboard; this version is a much more worthy testament to Optimus. This time, the trailer is done in plastic with all due intricacies, painted touches, functional hinges and Decepticon-crunching wheels. The trailer itself is portrayed pretty realistically, down to every detail just short of the CB chatter and the “Haulin’ Ass” mud flaps. That’s a big 10-4, eastbound and down. Though the trailer does not lamentably configure itself into Prime’s old battle station with loyal drone warrior Roller, the rear door does open, and the ramp/trailer space looks it might even be wide enough to drive one of the narrower Alternators up inside.
Even better, this time, Prime’s truck mode actually latches onto the trailer hitch; alternatively, there is a bracket to display the trailer alone, during those times in which Prime transforms and the trailer sort of sidles into the peripheral. So, if you want to recreate Prime’s one-robot phalanx scene from the movie, just latch Prime up and set out the Decepticon bowling pins.
