A world-renowned cat burglar, Selina Kyle is limited by her encroaching reputation. Eight years after Harvey Dent’s death, Selina disguises herself as a maid and infiltrates Wayne Manor, where she extracts Bruce Wayne’s fingerprints from the interior of Wayne’s safe and takes a personal interest in the theft of a pearl necklace belonging to Wayne’s mother. She (Selina) is confronted by a battered Cane-riddled Bruce Wayne, who interrogates her briefly before she escapes. Wayne resumes his role as Batman, and is led by Selina to Bane, however she willingly leads Batman into a trap, and is horrified to learn that Wayne and Batman are one and the same. Later, after escaping where Bane once languished, Batman recruits Selina, among others, to prevent Bane, the last remnant of the League of Shadows, from destroying Gotham City.
