Downshift is the Cybertron extension of the Energon version, style with the same cool Wheeljack tribute look to him. He’s a little more experienced now, modifying the recklessness of his former days while learning under new Cybertron Defense Team member Hot Shot. Nowadays, Downshift takes his time a little more, using guile and leverage to deal with more menacing opponents like Starscream.
He’s got a harder-hitting vintage car look in his vehicle mode, mean and green, baby. His Cyber Key function actives a front grill grabbing claw that works a little better while in vehicle mode. The car mode also supports the two massive missile blasters that transfer over into his robot mode as well. As a robot’s he’s simple and to the point, symmetrical, good balance, high articulation. In this mode the grabber claw is still accessible and the two missile bladders can either be mounted to his outsize shoulder plates or converted to handheld guns. He’s still got the wicked Wheeljack likeness, a helmet with two lateral blades, a dark face with the lower half sheathed by a grillwork of horizontal bands. Without a doubt, one of the best Autobots in the Cybertron line.
