The 12” RAH Spider-Man features a cloth costume and an extremely high level of articulation. This is the standard version of Spider-Man in the classic costume, apparently either prior to or after Spider-Man overcomes his own darkness and breaks the influence of the space-borne symbiotic black suit.
The Spiderman 3 storyline is cited to involve a scenario in which John Jameson returns from a space expedition with an alien essence of some type that merges with Spider-Man’s costume and gains a dark symbiotic influence over him. If only to add a superfluous degree of difficulty to the proceedings, Spider-Man is forced to shoulder Mary Jane and Aunt May problems in addition to his destructive battles with Harry Osborne and the Sandman.
