A renowned cat burglar, Black Cat is initially an adversary of Spider-Man, although her intensifying infatuation with Spider-Man prompts her to perilous feats of heroism. The Black Cat’s reflexes, agility and stamina are approximate to those of an Olympic level acrobat, and her efficiency as a physical combatant enables her to battle multiple opponents simultaneously or to even surpass the prowess of the likes of Sabretooth. Originally Black Cat sabotages her opponents with carefully orchestrated traps, although she later receives genetic alterations from the Kingpin’s scientists which enable her to influence probabilities, literally generating ‘bad luck’ for her opponents.
