Depicted in mid-flight, Captain Marvel is clad in his dark red and blue costume, and is outfitted with his power-heightening Nega-Bands. Initially Captain Marvel poses as a deceased Earth scientist, ascertaining whether or not the Earth poses a threat to the Kree Empire, and gradually develops sympathy for humanity. By protecting humanity on multiple occasions, Captain Marvel is placed at odds with the Kree Empire, prompting the latter to denounce Captain Marvel as a traitor. Captain Marvel’s Kree physiology provides him with strength and durability superior to an ordinary human, and his Nega-Bands provide him with additional strength, a measure of damage resistance, flight-capability, and the ability to withstand space vacuum.
