Hydro-Man is capable of shifting into a fluid mass, enabling him to attack in a massive wave, traverse unlikely points of egress, or combine with larger bodies of water. Hydro-Man initially blamed Spider-Man for his accidental transformation into a liquid-based being; however, his vendetta brought him defeat and, eventually, a rivalry with fellow super villain Sandman resulted in a golem-like mishmash of the two characters. Hydro-Man’s mediocrity remands him to manipulation by craftier villains and affiliation with teams such as the Frightful Four and the Sinister Syndicate.
