Clad in a mixture of army fatigues and his patriotically themed modern costume, Ultimates Captain America is equipped with his trademark shield. Ultimate Captain America was originally a weak specimen drastically augmented by the Super-Soldier Serum. An extensively trained hand-to-hand combatant and a master tactician, Ultimate Captain America was selected to be the field leader of The Ultimates. This version is somewhat sterner than Captain America’s mainstream counterpart, frequently making use of firearms and explosives.
