Designed to emulate the aesthetic of action figures from the 70’s, the Flash Gordon 8” Figures feature multiple points of articulation and elaborate fabric attire, and are individually carded in clamshell packaging.
The Series 1 Set (subject to change) includes the following figures:
1x Ming the Merciless: Ming the Merciless features a full array of ostentatious and decadent regalia equivalent to his movie counterpart. From his throne on Mongo, Ming the Merciless rules a multi-racial empire comprised of the likes of the Hawk Men and the Tree People. Braced by monstrous super-scientific weapons, Ming frequently amuses himself by facilitating the destruction of sentient worlds. However, Ming’s authority is challenged by Flash Gordon. Taking insult, Ming orders the death of Gordon, while simultaneously claiming Dale Arden as his consort and imminent bride. Flash escapes death due to Princess Aura’s interference, and ultimately manages to rally the Hawk Men and the Tree People against Ming.
1x Flash Gordon: This sketch of Flash Gordon depicts his appearance from the movie poster cover. Armed with an extraterrestrial falchion-like sword, Gordon is set against the devices of Ming the Merciless. At the outset of the film, football star Flash Gordon, along with doll-faced co-passenger Dale Arden, is ambushed and forced to participate in a rocket-borne mission by a desperate Dr. Zarkov. Soon after Flash, Dale and Zarkov are captured and taken to the reception hall of Ming the Merciless. Flash must now outmaneuver Ming, resist the considerable temptations of Ming’s sinuous and beguiling daughter Princess Aura, and figure out a way to deliver the planet Earth from insidious Mongo-engineered annihilation.
