Figure set not only includes effect parts and two display stands for flight pose and for Fire Rodan’s breath weapon, but also includes a special heat breath weapon effect parts for S.H.MonsterArts Godzilla (sold separately) and special battle damaged (shattered right eye) Mechagodzilla head.
Monstrous and thick-skinned, Rodan is capable of generating attack winds, utilizes his chest-situated spike as a melee attack. After fending off an attack from gigantic prehistoric insects, the Meganulon, a team of miners discover the massive egg containing Rodan. After the egg hatches, Rodan feeds upon the remaining Meganulon, and then the humans, and matures at an exaggerated rate. The fully grown Rodan lays siege to the planet, destroying civilization and devouring human prey. Eventually a second Rodan is revealed. Japanese military tracks the two Rodans to Mt. Aso, and uses missiles to create a volcanic eruption which engulfs one Rodan and lures the second to its apparent doom. Rodan later returns in Ghidorah, the Three-Headed Monster. Reemerging from Mt. Aso, Rodan battles against Godzilla, however both monsters are ultimately convinced by Mothra to band together against the recently arrived King Ghidorah. Later, in Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla II, Rodan forms another tentative alliance with Godzilla.
