The GX-37 King Joe is made of both plastic and die-cast, and appears to be well-articulated. The robot’s head resembles a gigantic control panel, a boxy foundation flanked by massive antenna clusters. King Joe’s chest is inlaid with iridescent honeycomb plates, the hips girded by rounded pylons. The GX-37 version of King Joe disassembles into four individual spacecraft modules.
The lumbering King Joe, surrogate juggernaut acting on behalf of evil conquest-hungry aliens, is easily among the stoutest and most destructive of the Ultra Seven villains. A titanic composite robot derived from the combination of four mechanized spacecraft, King Joe is imbued with monstrous strength, is resistant against most conventional assaults, and is equipped with a light ray.
