The 1/2400 Aliens USS Sulaco Model Kit is a project involving both assembly and paint, and featuring a display base, the vessel should stand around 12” tall once constructed. A bulky, powerful vessel used to transport Ripley and the Colonial Marines to the colony on LV-426, the Sulaco has an almost submarine semblance to it. This Conestoga Class starship was converted into a heavily-armed transport vessel.
The transport supported hypersleep facilities, and had a two-Dropship capacity. The Sulaco’s impressive arsenal included the likes of ASAT missiles, Kinetic Energy Railguns and even nuclear warheads. Ripley and the marines were deposited from the Sulaco via Dropship and then APC to the surface of LV-426, after which the mother vessel remained in orbit. As it turned out, the Sulaco’s nuclear capabilities were not required to obliterate the colony---given the fact that Ripley and her few fellow survivors barely escaped an exploding reactor in the process of regaining the Dropship. Eventually, Ripley and her few fellow survivors returned to the Sulaco, not realizing that the vengeful Alien Queen had now infested the vessel…
